Ilan and Brian traveled with 18 Extreme athletes to Raleigh NC over Martin Luther King Weekend to compete in the January Jubilee hosted by Raleigh Swim Association. A few seasoned vets (Claire, Sarah, Melissa and Lucas) helped lead a group of swimmers who were new to this type of travel meet.

Empire used the weekend to race, prepare for championship season, learn, have fun, taste the local cuisine and shop (WALMART!!!) The meet was an overwhelming success as Empire swimmers clashed with some big southern teams like NOVA and RSA who each brought over 200 athletes. Against the stiff competition the Empire group qualified for second swims at night and put up season best times all without shaving or resting for the meet. A fantastic experience for those who went! The trip ran smoothly in large part due to our four amazing chaperones (THANK YOU!). Check out the picture.
