Q: What is
Silvers?
A: This is
the 1st step in the Metropolitan LSC championship meet progression.
First Silvers, then Junior Olympics (JOs), then Senior Metropolitan
Championship (Sr Mets)
Q: Who will
swim in Silvers?
A: Good
question. Here's the long answer.
As it is a
championship meet, there are
TIME STANDARDS which swimmers must achieve in order to be
eligible to swim in this meet. Swimmers may qualify in one or
more events, but can only swim in the events for which they have met
the time standards.
Silvers is unique
in that there are TWO SETS of time standards. You must be fast
enough to make the meet AND not too fast! (Huh?) Swimmers who have
achieved JO times in an event can't swim THAT / THOSE events at
Silvers.
SO, your answer:
All swimmers, from all Empire groups, who have times that fit in the
SILVERS time range will be entered in the meet.

questions, PLEASE ASK! Your coaches will be glad to help you
