
Kevin will primarily be coaching the Lightning and Xtreme groups again this season.
Kevin joined Empire Swimming after thirteen successful years with Middies Swimming. There, he was the Head Age-Group coach, and ran and worked with swimmers from the developmental level through the Senior Elite.
Kevin has coached at USS Zone Distance Camps in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., as well as at a Metropolitan / Connecticut Age-Group Camp, and has traveled to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado to coach at National Select Camps. Kevin is a Certified Pool Operator, and has achieved level 3 recognition from the American Swim Coaches Association.
Kevin's swimmers have achieved USA and NCSA Junior National times, numerous National Age-Group Top 16 rankings, been YWCA National champions, Metro record holders, Metro Junior Olympic champions and he has placed many swimmers on the Metropolitan Zone Teams. In 2001, Kevin was awarded the Metropolitan Age-Group Coach of the Year by the American Swim Coaches Association.
From 1996 to 2004 Kevin was the head coach at the Coveleigh Club, part of the Westchester County Swim Conference, where his team won four consecutive County & Conference titles. Kevin was named Conference Coach of the Year in 1996. He has resumed coaching in the summers as the head coach at American Yacht Club in Rye, NY. Kevin's team has won 3 consecutive Division Championships and he was again awarded Coach of the Year in 2009.
In addition to coaching, Kevin is the computer teacher for grades 4 - 8 at Good Counsel Elementary School in White Plains.
